Just by looking at my green and flowering plants gives me a feeling of being at peace.. Plants do really love rain water and in the absence of it I replace it with the rice water.. A rainwater tank is certainly a great idea. That way you can use the water on your garden during summer. We're on all rainwater here (no piped water at all) and really looking for a rain to top up our supplies. My husband has been carting water for our sheep. That’s wonderful that you have rain.
